Evalingo measures how well someone speaks and writes a language, then maps that to the CEFR scale — the international standard for language proficiency, running from A1 (beginner) to C2 (near-native).

Instead of a recruiter forming an impression in a five-minute call, every candidate answers the same kinds of questions under the same conditions, and every response is scored against the same criteria.

How it works

  1. You create an assessment and enter the candidate's email.
  2. They get a private link. No account, no password, no download.
  3. They complete it — about 7 minutes for speaking, 15 for writing.
  4. You get a CEFR level with a score breakdown and written feedback, usually within a few minutes.

What you can test

Type What it covers Roughly how long
Speaking Spoken fluency, pronunciation, and range 7 minutes
Writing Written clarity, structure, and accuracy 15 minutes
Speaking and writing Both, in one sitting About 22 minutes

All three cost the same: one credit per assessment.

Where it fits

Most teams use Evalingo as a screening step before a human interview — so interview time goes to candidates who clear the language bar. You can send assessments from the dashboard, or connect Evalingo to your ATS through our API so they go out automatically.
