Here is the fastest path from a new account to a scored candidate.

1. Start your free trial

New accounts begin with no credits, and an assessment costs one credit. Starting the free trial gives you 10 credits for 14 days, with no credit card.

Go to Billing in the dashboard and start the trial. If you skipped this step at signup, that is where to pick it back up.

If a candidate opens their link and sees a message that the assessment is unavailable, the usual cause is that the account has run out of credits.

2. Create the assessment

Go to Assessments and choose New assessment. You will need:

3. Let us email them, or send the link yourself

By default we email the candidate an invitation with their private link. If you would rather send it through your own ATS or write a personal note, turn the invitation email off and copy the link instead.

You can also add a short custom message to the invitation — candidates respond better when they know who the assessment is for and why.

4. Review the results

When the candidate finishes, scoring usually completes within a few minutes. Open the assessment to see the CEFR level, a breakdown across five scoring dimensions, and written feedback covering what went well and where they were weaker.

A good first test

Send the first one to yourself. You will see exactly what candidates see — the timing, the pressure, the question style — and that makes it much easier to explain the process to candidates later. It costs one credit.
